It produces detailed, factual, and unbiased research reports with citations by scraping, filtering, and aggregating information from over 20+ web sources per research task. GPT Researcher operates through a multi-step autonomous process. This includes a Browser Agent that browses the internet for initial research based on your research task, an Editor that plans the report outline and structure based on initial findings, a Planner Agent that generates a set of research questions that form an objective opinion on the given task, Crawler Agents that scrape online resources for information relevant to each research question (running in parallel for efficiency), a Summarization step where each scraped resource is summarized based on relevant information while tracking its sources, and finally, a Final Report where the planner filters and aggregates all summarized sources to generate a comprehensive research report.
